Meet Our Board of Directors
Maggie Shook, President
In 2003, I acquired my first American Bulldog Roland, attended my first American Bulldog show in Richburg, SC and have been passionate about the breed ever since, showing and breeding as Gunslinger Kennels.
I have been very active in conformation shows, particularly with the NKC, where I am also a judge, but I have also shown my dogs with UKC and ABRA. I have shown dogs that I have bred to numerous show titles, from Junior Champion, Champion, Grand Champion Supreme Grand Champion, as well as, 8 or so NKC National Champions.
I am even more passionate about the working side of the American Bulldog and have participated in many of the venues in which the breed excels.
Over the years, I have titled dogs in weight pull, with the NWDA, participated in many protection tournaments, and tested my dogs on wild hogs.
In 2009, I started training and trialing my bulldogs in Schutzhund, and it has become a major part of what I do with my bulldogs.
I look forward to serving the American Bulldog community in the position of President of the USABC.

My first bulldog Notorious D.O.G (Kermit) held advanced titles in three different weight pull organizations, was on a UKC Top Ten conformation qualifier for multiple years and was a Grand Champion in both the NKC and UKC. Other ABDs that I have owned and trained are Notorious Molly Hatchet, Notorious Moody Blu, ad Notorious Rolling Stone. All of these were NKC Champions. Another of my bulldogs, Secor’s Ajax was 2013 AWDF National Champion (IPO I) and received his IPO 3 in 2014. I still have Bulldogs, but also have competed in IPO with my Malinois (Siboveld’s Centurion (Finn) and Virgil.
